All of the 94+ Integras use the same tranny case with different gear sets in each tranny. As far as the final drive in each they will interchange with each other depending on your choice. So the answer is indeed yes the ITR LSD will fit into an LS case. I know of several Del Sol tranny's with ITR LSD's as well as several GSR's also. The final drive ratio is different from an LS to an ITR but it is worth it. Good luch and have fun...

AHHH, I will have to say that NO the ITR LSD will not fit in the LS tranny. To be completely honest, I don't know why but I do know that the LSD will not go in the LS tranny plug and play style like it will in the GSR. Maybe shoot over to the Hybrid board and delve deeply into it with those guys http://hybrid.honda-perf.org/

Well I will ask my boss to be sure tomorrow but I am quite sure he said it will fit. I honestly do not see why it would not fit but hey I could be wrong. We repair those cases all the time when a car comes in after a crash. Whether it be a type R, LS, Civic SI etc we use the same case halves from Honda/Acura. I will check on this first thing tomorrow morning and hopefully have an answer tomorrow evening. Heck if all else fails I will call Acura tomorrow and find out if I have to.....

Heres a quote from a knowledgable source we all know
quote:
As for the LSD. the diff. housing and the ring gear are smaller in the
LS as compared to the GSR/Type R unit. I believe, although I have not tried it myself, that one could swap in a complete Type R LSD differential with the ring gear (final drive) still attached. Unfortunately, this would mean pressing all SIX gears off of the main and counter shafts to swap the mating gear to the ring (because the final drive gears are different in the LS and the GSR/R). I guess what I am saying is that it is possible, but very cost prohibitive.

I guess that means "Kinda" no

Well my mechanic happened to have one sitting around... so since my tranny was coming apart anywayz for a new cluth, why not try it out... and the verdict,
the ITR LSD would NOT fit directly into my RS.... unlike it going into a GSR...
I since decided to get a Quaife... Schweeeet....

Javin,
I have a LS trans here that needs a diff... the OE one is fractured. I opened up the case and found that my assessment noted above is absolutely correct. It would require alot of labor, however, it is possible. I believe the only good reason to do this is STEALTH... nothing more. This project is certainly NOT cost effective.
